In a proactive move to evaluate its performance for fiscal year 2023 and pave the way for a promising 2024, the Schools Division of Calamba City reviewed the Year-End Program Implementation and Performance Assessment at The B Hotel Alabang, Muntinlupa on January 15-16, 2024.

In her message, SDS Merthel M. Evardome, CESO V, stressed the importance of planning by reviewing the previous performance and program implementation to identify areas for improvement. She also highlighted human resources as ordinary men who can do extraordinary things as “we reinvent, reimagine, and innovate in performing our tasks and improving ourselves continuously and incrementally.”

OIC-ASDS Jaypee E. Lopo likened the conduct of the PIR to a tale of the Pear Tree which had different appearance per season. He said that “we have been through different seasons as an organization like the four quarters of 2023 and made our accomplishments.”

Unit and section heads of the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent reported the status of general and support services provided vis-à-vis targets as indicated in their Individual Performance Commitment and Review Form. Each presenter highlighted notable achievements and shared strategies implemented to improve efficiency and effectiveness in their respective areas of responsibility.

Education Program Supervisors and program proponents of the Curriculum Implementation Division led by Chief Dr. Mariliza T. Espada presented their significant accomplishments, challenges encountered, and way forward per learning area and various programs such as Special Needs Education, Early Language Literacy and Numeracy, Special Program in Journalism, Madrasah Education Program, Special Program in Vocational Education, and Alternative Learning System.

PSDS Rowena B. Cambel reported the consolidated accomplishments based on the Key Result Areas of the CID that contributed to the outstanding performance of the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent.

Meanwhile, actual accomplishments in the implementation of different programs, projects, and activities in various areas including Planning and Research, Private Schools, Human Resource Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Mobilization and Networking, Youth Formation, DRRM, School Heath, and Education Facilities were presented on the second day of the activity led by School Governance and Operations Division Chief Dolorosa S. De Castro.

After each presentation, SDS Evardome and OIC-ASDS Lopo gave their suggestions and feedback to further improve the delivery of basic education services in the Division.
