The Schools Division Office of Calamba City convened a meeting focused on the preparation for the culminating activity of National Teachers Month through the 2024 Division Research Festival, themed โ€œShowcasing Best Practices in Raising the Bar of Excellenceโ€ at Bulwagang Rizal, 4th floor of the DepEd main building on September 9, 2024.

The upcoming Division Research Festival aims to celebrate and highlight exemplary practices across schools that have contributed to raising educational standards.

This event, in line with National Teachers Month, will serve as a platform for educators to share their innovative approaches and successful interventions, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the education sector.

During the meeting, key officials discussed the logistics, program flow, and specific roles to ensure a successful culminating activity. The emphasis on showcasing best practices underscores the division’s commitment to recognizing and replicating effective strategies that enhance student learning and teacher performance.

Meanwhile, the meeting also focused on finalizing the SMEA template which is a critical tool in systematically monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting programs, projects, and activities to achieve the desired educational outcomes.

The SMEA template serves as a framework for schools to assess their progress and implement necessary improvements, aligning with the broader goal of elevating the quality of education in the division.

The dual focus of the meeting reflects SDO Calamba City’s dedication to both honoring its educators and ensuring that schools are equipped with the tools and strategies needed to sustain excellence in education.
