Delegations from Calamba City arrived in Cebu City on July 3, six days before the kick-off of the Palarong Pambansa 2024, scheduled from July 9-16, 2024.

 

8 Calambeño athletes will compete in various events including gymnastics, taekwondo, athletics, and special needs education during the week-long national games in different venues in Cebu.

The players have taken advantage of their early arrival to practice at the playing venues and get an actual feel for the games.

 

Joining the CalambaGo team are Education Program Supervisor and Division Sports Coordinator Joel I. Libranda together with other trainers and coaches, namely Kino J. Abustan, Yourke F. Tamayo, Marichu V. Regente, Earl Noel M. Caraan, Francis Dan M. Boringot, and Marilou E. Culla.

 

The opening ceremony for the Palarong Pambansa 2024 is scheduled on Tuesday, July 9 at the Cebu City Sports Center.

 

Meanwhile, SDS Merthel M. Evardome and OIC-ASDS Nadine C. Celindro throw all-out support for Calambeño athletes.

 

The City Government of Calamba under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Roseller ‘Ross’ H. Rizal has expressed its full support for the athletes providing for their travel expenses, hotel accommodation, and allowances.

 

Brimmed with excitement, these athletes are ready to show the country their sports prowess.
