In preparation for the first phase of the MATATAG curriculum’s implementation next school year, the Schools Division Office of Calamba City continues the series of trainings for teachers and school leaders at Batangas Country Club, Brgy. Bolbok, Batangas City on April 29 to May 3, 2024.

 

The sessions on the second day focused on a walkthrough of the curriculum standards which covers the learning area, key stage, grade level, content, and performance standards.

 

Another highlight of the breakout sessions is the intricate process of unpacking and clustering learning competencies per grade level and learning area for quarters 1 to 4.

 

Part of the discussion and workshop includes the steps in unpacking learning competencies such as revisiting the content and performance standards, examining the learning competency to be unpacked, breaking down the learning competency into smaller components, aligning instruction and assessment with unpacked competencies, and designing instructional pedagogies.

 

Meanwhile, DepEd Region IV-A CALABARZON Education Program Supervisor Emelia M. Aytona provided feedback and commendation during the daily debriefing activity.

 

M&E SEPS Florette Laarni C. Bautista reported the consolidated findings of the monitoring and evaluation team for timely and appropriate adjustments and interventions.
