Chiefs, unit, and section heads from the Schools Division Office of Calamba City presented their year-end performance reports, program status, and accomplishments for fiscal year 2024 during the Research and Innovation Practices in Enhancing Organizational Effectiveness cum Year-End Program Implementation Review and Performance Assessment at The Plaza Garden Hotel and Residences, Baguio City, on December 13, 2024.

In her message, SDS Merthel M. Evardome, CESO V, inspired participants by sharing various Japanese philosophies to foster personal and professional growth. She introduced techniques such as Ikigai, emphasizing the importance of finding purpose through four key principles: doing what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for.

SDS Evardome highlighted seven Japanese philosophies for personal and professional growth: Kaizen (continuous small improvements), Shoshin (a beginnerโ€™s mindset for learning), Gaman (patience and perseverance), Shinrin-yoku (rejuvenation through nature), Hara hachi bu (mindful eating at 80% fullness), Ganbaru (persistence for meaningful achievements), and Wabi-sabi (finding beauty in imperfection and simplicity).

OIC-ASDS Nadine C. Celindro warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the blessings of having a supportive local government under Mayor Roseller โ€˜Rossโ€™ H. Rizal. She highlighted that all achievements and initiatives are geared toward the betterment of Calamba City and its stakeholders.

Meanwhile, key updates were presented during the activity. The Office of the Schools Division Superintendent reported on the performance and status of various programs.
School Governance and Operations Division Chief Dolorosa S. De Castro and Curriculum Implementation Division Chief Mariliza T. Espada summarized the overall accomplishments of their respective functional division.
