The Schools Division of Calamba City conducted the Solidarity Meeting in preparation for the 2024 City Sports Meet at Jose Rizal Memorial School Auditorium on January 24, 2024.

In her message, SDS Merthel M. Evardome, CESO V, put emphasis on unity in diversity, โ€œMagkakalaban pero iisa ang dinadalang kulay-ito ang kulay ng Calamba. Hindi iisipin ang premyo, ang iisipin lagi ay ang Calambeno.โ€ She pointed out that the safety of all players must be taken into consideration.
SDS Evardome hoped that there would be no physical fights but instead discuss any issues that may arise. She also expressed her admiration for sports coaches and officials for their skills and dedication in training the athletes.

OIC-ASDS Nadine C. Celindro stressed the importance of discipline and unity. She said that โ€œthere are a lot of things we can benefit from sports, however, there are also problems that can be encountered.โ€ She also emphasized the critical role that the sports officials play in this kind of event. According to her, all the things that they will be doing would be their legacy to the young Calambeรฑos.

Meanwhile, all committee chairmen gave reminders and some rules to follow in the conduct of the city meet. Atty. Jonas Manalo said that if anyone would file a protest, the fee costs five thousand pesos while Dr. Jaztine Caraos provided first aid tips for common injuries, emergencies, and when to call an ambulance. The sports venues were provided including the contact numbers of persons in-charge of the different events.

Mr. Kino Abustan reported that there were 17 disqualified players after a thorough screening of documents. Discrepancies on birth certificates are the common reasons for disqualification.
