Putting a premium on enhancing educational standards, about 990 teachers of Kindergarten, Grades 1, 4, and 7 from 72 public elementary and secondary schools in the Schools Division Office of Calamba City undergo school-based training on MATATAG curriculum held simultaneously at four different venues including Jose Rizal Memorial School, Calamba Elementary School, Calamba City Science Integrated School, and Bulwagang Rizal, 4th floor of the DepEd main building on July 1-5, 2024.

 

Leading the implementation are SDS Merthel M. Evardome, OIC-ASDS Nadine C. Celindro, and more than 200 Program Management Team members.

 

Accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission, the training ensures that participants will have in-depth and solid understanding of the general shape of the MATATAG curriculum and how it can be translated in the classroom.

 

This training also supports the Department of Education’s MATATAG Agenda that highlights “G” component which is to “Give support for teachers to teach better.”
