The Schools Division Office of Calamba City celebrated the culmination of Project RIZALiksik at the Jose Rizal Coliseum on December 19, 2024.

SDS Merthel M. Evardome, CESO V, and City Mayor Hon. Roseller โ€˜Rossโ€™ H. Rizal led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The exhibit showcased the research outputs of the 17 batches of Project RIZALiksik conducted in Baguio City.

In her message, SDS Evardome expressed gratitude for the collective efforts and achievements of SDO Calamba City throughout the year. โ€œAll of you have witnessed how the Local Government Unit pours their support into DepEd,โ€ she remarked, underscoring the indispensable role of the LGU in supporting education initiatives.

She also extended her thanks to Mayor Rizal, Congresswoman Charisse Anne Hernandez-Alcantara, and Vice Mayor Atty. Angelito โ€˜Totieโ€™ S. Lazaro for their unwavering support.

Assistant Regional Director Loida N. Nidea of DepEd Region IV-A CALABARZON delivered her message, challenging educators to leverage the resources provided for research to drive academic improvements.
โ€œYou have been given all the resources to conduct research. Mayor Rizal has supported you in all your endeavorsโ€”sending you to Baguio, providing laptops, and ensuring financial and moral support. Has your academic performance improved?โ€ ARD Nidea asked, urging educators to reflect on their progress.
She emphasized the importance of turning research findings into actionable strategies, particularly in addressing literacy and numeracy challenges. โ€œI hope youโ€™ve taken note of the results and provided actionable recommendations,โ€ ARD Nidea added.

Meanwhile, 120 newly hired teachers received laptops from Mayor Rizal during the annual DepEd Christmas Party. Adding to the excitement, approximately โ‚ฑ1 million worth of raffle prizes were distributed, including four e-trikes generously donated by Mayor Rizal and one e-trike contributed by Vice Mayor Lazaro.
