Focusing on various administrative, operational, and educational concerns, SDS Merthel M. Evardome, CESO V, led the Second Division Executive Committee (DEXECOM) Meeting of the Schools Division Office of Calamba City on April 3, 2025, at Monte Vista Hot Springs and Conference Resort, Pansol, Calamba City.

Administrative Officer V Yolanda Y. Chua conducted the roll call to confirm the attendance of the participants. Following this, OIC-ASDS Nadine C. Celindro read the minutes of the previous DEXECOM meeting, after which SDS Evardome clarified several agreements.

One of the primary concerns addressed was the provision of monetary remuneration or cash incentives for awardees of the Quarterly Recognition and Affirmation of SDO Employees. She emphasized that at least 5% of the HRD fund is allocated for rewards and recognition.

SDS Evardome emphasized the need for better fund allocation, prioritizing significant activities over excessive spending on celebrations like Womenโ€™s Month. She also directed inviting PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG speakers for new employee onboarding, sharing test results (NAT, ELLNA, CRLA, MFAT), and ensuring proper test administration.

Additionally, she ordered the preparation of tarpaulins to inform the public about schools offering the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) and tasked PSDSs with orienting parents on the pros and cons of transferring children to private schools.

SDS Evardome shared updates from the Regional ManCom meeting, highlighting E. Barretto Sr. Integrated Schoolโ€™s success in the Nestlรฉ Wellness Campus Program (1st in Peopleโ€™s Choice, 2nd nationally). She also provided updates on the Regional Athletic Association Meet rankings for elementary, secondary, and SNED categories.

The committee was briefed on preparations for the 2025 Palarong Pambansa (May 20โ€“31) and the 173 school days for SY 2024-2025.

SDS Evardome stressed simple yet meaningful graduation and moving-up ceremonies, banning extravagant attire and venues. She reiterated DO 48, s. 2018, prohibiting electioneering in school events and emphasized that no DepEd personnel should collect fees, with expenses covered by MOOE and ALS Program Support Fund.

The agenda items included the graduation rites flow, early registration analysis for SY 2025-2026, and the Election Task Force and Technical Working Group composition. Discussions also covered SARO status, learner performance, community partnerships, and the School-Based Management TA plan.

SDS Evardome shared updates on E-Learning courses, teacher training funds (FY 2025 INSET Fund, FY 2024 PSF Continuing), NQMS document finalization, and concerns on IPCRF and OPCRF. Office rules, operations, and administrative matters were also discussed.

The meeting concluded with PRIME-HRM updates, where OIC-ASDS Celindro presented action plans for RSP, L&D, PM, and R&R.
