Castor Alviar NHS has fulfilled 100% compliance with the child mapping activity.

There was no barangay within the school community left unexplored as the teachers of CANHS diligently carried out the child mapping activity. Truly, there is no space in the hearts of the teachers for whining. After the tiresome house to house survey, the hardship was replaced by benevolence, sympathy, and compassion due to the realization that the teachers had made after they witnessed the real conditions of the families of the students. The thing that is most rewarding in carrying out this task is not only the satisfaction of fulfilling the assigned task but the opportunity to see, and understand where the students are coming from.

This task allowed the teachers to identify the students who are from rough places and have a tough life ahead of them, which then helped them to realize the needs of the students. Just the fact the students put those issues including poverty, family problem, etc. on hold just to pursue their studies gives the teachers the hope they desperately need sometimes.

The child mapping was conducted from July to September 2016, scouring Brgy. Masili, Brgy. Bagong Kalsada, Brgy. Sucol, and Brgy. Tadlac.
