The Schools Division Office Evaluation Teams assessed the Workplace Application Plan (WAP) results and portfolios submitted by the Master Teachers who attended the 2023 Master Teachers Professional Development Program (MTPDP) 2.0, at Bulwagang Rizal, 4th floor of the DepEd main building, on March 25, 2025.

The WAP evaluation aimed to measure the effectiveness of the action plan implementation and the integration of job-embedded learning among the Master Teachers.

Each participant submitted a 3-5 minute video presentation, which included a brief introduction, the title of the WAP, an accomplishment report, and a closing statement.

These Master Teachers attended the MTPDP 2.0 training held at View Park Hotel, Tagaytay City, from February 6-11, 2023. The training emphasized professional growth and the application of innovative teaching strategies.

The SDO Evaluation Team reviewed the submitted WAP results and portfolios, focusing on their relevance, execution, and impact.

The evaluation teams per cluster include Romeo DC Ramos, Eder I. Gallego, and Carmina S. Taip (Cluster 1), Flor I. Tomas and Cincy Merly B. Gecolea (Cluster 2), Marites M. Zoleta, Andrea C. Señadoza, and Jocelyn V. Reyes (Cluster 3A), Mariliza T. Espada, Rosemarie V. Magnaye, and Elsa D. Pagulayan (Cluster 3B), Victorina D. Palanas, Lino T. Sanchez, and Lorna T. Alcover (Cluster 4), Arlene M. Garcia and Marivic M. Aldave (Cluster 5), Thelma G. Calatin and Vienna M. Bondoc (Cluster 6), Ligaya B. Fuego and Charlene C. Angeles (Cluster 7), Dolorosa S. De Castro, Imee P. Aldea, and Lorna N. Platon (Cluster 8 ), Marivic R. Calderon and Maria Sheila H. Sumilang (Cluster 9), and Robert C. Salazar and Jesa V. Mandanas (Cluster 10).

Master Teachers who obtained at least 75 points passed the evaluation and will receive certificates of completion.

Those who did not meet the required score will receive interventions and technical assistance to enhance their professional skills.

The Second Division Management Committee (ManCom) convened today at the Conference Hall of Jose Rizal Coliseum, bringing together School Heads and Public Schools District Supervisors of SDO Calamba City to discuss vital issues and strategies for improvement in the education of every Batang Calambeño.

Schools Division Superintendent Merthel M. Evardome led the discussions, tackling crucial topics such as Hiring Guidelines and Other Personnel Actions, Administrative Matters, and DepEd Policy on Class Suspension or in situations of emergency.

Evardome also shed light on the Performance Management and Evaluation System (PMES) for the current school year, DepEd CALABARZON's Regional Memorandum 169, s. 2025 regarding the Prohibition of Electioneering, School Calendar Days for SY 2024-2025, and DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2025 titled Guidelines on the Streamlining of School Forms and Reports Accomplished by Teachers.

OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Nadine C. Celindro provided updates on the recently concluded Regional ManCom Meeting focusing on learner attainment data and other programs and projects.

Meanwhile, CID Chief Mariliza Espada discussed DO 002, s. 2025 and DO 003, s. 2025, as well as CID updates and implementation of programs, activities, and projects in the Division.

SGOD Chief Dolorosa De Castro also shared valuable information on DO 22, s. 2025 and other SGOD matters.

The meeting was hosted by Cluster 8, led by PSDS Oscar R. Duma Jr., in collaboration with school heads Bernardita Salazar (Kapayapaan IS), Sandra Estimada (San Ramon ES), Melecio Regucera (Sirang Lupa ES), Lorna Platon (Majada In ES), Jayson Malinao (Majada In IS), John James Bagasol (Canlubang ES), and ASP-II Grace Serrato (Kapayapaan IS).

As the meeting drew to a close, the committee reaffirmed its commitment to continual improvement and attainment of learning outcomes. With a shared vision for quality education, the participants pledged to work together to address challenges and seize opportunities for growth and development.

The Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee of the Schools Division Office of Calamba City, along with its designated sub-committees evaluate nomination documents for the 2024 Search for Gawad Calambayani at Bulwagang Rizal, 4th floor of the DepEd main building on March 18-20, 2025.

The PRAISE Secretariat, responsible for each award category, ensured that all submitted documents were properly turned over to the designated evaluators before the assessment process commenced.

The evaluation covered multiple award categories, including: Outstanding Elementary and High School Teachers, Outstanding Elementary and High School Master Teachers, Outstanding ALS Teacher, Outstanding Elementary and High School Principals, Outstanding Education Program Supervisor (EPS), Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), and Teaching-Related Personnel, Outstanding Elementary, High School, and Teaching-Related Researchers, and Best Performing Public Elementary School and High School.

PRAISE Committee members and sub-committee evaluators were divided and assigned to specific award categories to ensure a fair and thorough evaluation process.

Candidates who achieved a score ranging from 70 to 80 points in the document validation process will proceed to the next phase, which includes an interview and demonstration teaching for teachers and interviews for other qualified nominees.

The results of the evaluation will be officially announced through a Division Memorandum on March 25, 2025.

Umarangkada sa kasaysayan ng Regional Athletic Association Meet (RAAM) 2025 si Joel P. Platon mula Canlubang Integrated School matapos niyang sikwatin ang kauna-unahang gintong medalya ng Calamba City sa 100-meter dash finals- Secondary Boys kahapon.

Sa isang matikas na pagtakbo, mabilis na sumibat mula sa starting blocks si Platon at hindi na lumingon pa, tinapos ang karera sa 11.02 segundo upang tuluyang itaguyod ang bandera ng Calamba City sa kompetisyon.

Sumunod sa kanya si John Clinton Mitchel Abetong ng Dasmariñas City na may 11.19 segundo, habang pumangatlo si Jeremiah John B. Cruz ng Batangas Province sa 11.22 segundo.

Isang mag-aaral mula sa Jose Rizal Memorial School ang nagbigay ng karangalan sa kanyang paaralan at dibisyon matapos tanghaling kampeon sa HISTO-POP – Kasaysayan ng Pilipinas Quiz sa 2025 Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT).

Si Jeddiah A. Borlagdan, mag-aaral sa Baitang 6, ay nagpakita ng pambihirang husay sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas, pinatunayan ang kanyang dedikasyon at pagmamahal sa pag-aaral.

Sa kabila ng matinding kompetisyon laban sa iba pang mahuhusay na mag-aaral sa rehiyon, nagbunga ang kanyang pagsisikap at pagsasanay, na nagbigay-daan upang makuha niya ang kampeonato sa prestihiyosong patimpalak.

Ang kanyang tagumpay ay hindi lamang sumasalamin sa kanyang husay kundi itinatampok din ang dangal ng Jose Rizal Memorial School, na nagbibigay inspirasyon sa kapwa mag-aaral na pahalagahan at pagyamanin ang kasaysayan ng ating bansa.
