In view of ensuring the effective and efficient implementation of plans and programs, DepEd Calamba City conducted its First Quarter Program Implementation and Performance Review on April 19-20, 2023 at the Amazing View Mountain Resort, Mabitac, Laguna.
In his message, OIC-ASDS Jaypee E. Lopo reminded the attendees of the purpose of the PIR, that is to look into “our present accomplishments versus targets and think how we can be better.” He emphasized that “we should not settle for less by adjusting our set expectations when they do not turn into reality as we need to keep working and level up the kind of service that we do.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Dexter M. Palanas, SEPS for Planning and Research, presented the overall status of program implementation through the s-curve analysis of budget utilization vis-à-vis planned PPAs and expenditures. This was followed by a detailed explanation on budget matters as discussed by Budget Officer Minnarosa A. Baylon.
Unit and section heads of the School Governance and Operations Division presented their significant accomplishments, challenges encountered, and adjustments to be made.
The Curriculum Implementation Division led by Chief Dr. Mariliza T. Espada highlighted the observations and findings the team gathered in the conduct of instructional supervision and monitoring of curriculum (regular and special) implementation and the schools’ program, projects, and activities related to DREAM.
The different units and sections under the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent reported the status of support services that have been provided for January to March 2023.
OIC-ASDS Lopo gave feedback and suggestions to all presenters to further improve the delivery of basic education services as he said “we need to put premium on better individual and office performance for our learners, schools, and the people we serve in the Division.” The participants identified way forward and adjustments to respond to the pressing challenges.
The last part of the PIR was the review of the calendar of activities. Adjustments and targeting for the second quarter were made in order to keep up to set targets and goals. Synthesis and agreements made were presented by Mrs. Enelyn T. Badillo, EPS in Kindergarten and SPED.
