Utility personnel of the Schools Division Office of Calamba City enhanced their technical skills and practical competencies during the Skills Training on Basic Carpentry and Facilities Maintenance on March 27, 2026, at the 4th floor Bulwagang Rizal, DepEd main building.

 

The training aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in carpentry and basic facilities maintenance, enabling them to better support the upkeep and functionality of school environments.

 

During the first session, Certified TESDA Instructor Ms. Rouanne Hatuina-Lingan discussed the fundamentals of carpentry and facilities maintenance. She highlighted proper techniques, safety practices, and the importance of work values such as discipline, responsibility, and attention to detail in delivering quality service.

 

In the succeeding session, Certified TESDA Instructor Mr. Saint Michael Floralde demonstrated the proper use of carpentry tools and equipment. He facilitated a hands-on workshop where participants actively applied the concepts and techniques discussed through guided practical activities.

 

The activity provided an opportunity for participants to develop practical skills, build confidence in handling tools, and promote teamwork through collaborative learning.

 

In his closing message, Administrative Officer V, Robert Alain H. Bomuel encouraged the participants to carry forward the knowledge and skills they have gained and apply them in their respective assignments, emphasizing that continuous learning contributes to improved efficiency and better service delivery.
