Calamba City bounced back strongly after sweeping Bacoor and Antipolo City in consecutive matches to improve to 2โ€“1 in the elementary boys volleyball competition of the Regional Athletics Association Meet (RAAM) on March 10.

Calamba first swept Bacoor in straight sets, 25โ€“20, 25โ€“9, after building an early nine-point lead in the opening set. Bacoor attempted to close the gap late in the frame, but Calamba held firm to seal the set before completely dominating the second.

Lliam Tarsona powered the offense for Calamba, finishing with 7 attacks, 11 points, and 4 service aces to earn Player of the Game honors in their match against Bacoor.

The Calamba spikers carried their momentum into their second game against Antipolo City, where they survived a tense opening set. Calamba once led 19โ€“11, but Antipolo fought back to trim the lead to 24โ€“23 before Calamba secured the set, 25โ€“23.

Calamba then unleashed a commanding performance in the second set, overwhelming Antipolo 25โ€“6 to complete another straight-set victory.

Leading the charge in the second match was Christian Dave Marifosque (No. 9), who delivered 8 attacks and 9 service aces to claim Player of the Game honors.

With the consecutive wins, Calamba now sets its sights on its next opponent, Biรฑan, in the continuing elimination round of the RAAM volleyball tournament.
